Company

European excellence in data infrastructure.

STORViX provides the foundation for a sovereign and sustainable digital future. Headquartered in Sweden, we redefine data storage by engineering for long-term reliability, environmental responsibility and absolute data integrity.

Vision

To revolutionise data storage and management.

Mission

To reshape how organisations store, manage and protect enterprise data for an intelligent tomorrow.

What we are for

Seamless data storage for a greener tomorrow.

Our story

Ten years of building for the long term.

STORViX was founded in August 2016 out of a conviction that enterprise storage had stopped serving the organisations buying it. Systems were configured once and could not adapt; capacity arrived in forklift upgrades; and a three-year refresh cycle had quietly become an assumption rather than a requirement.

AiRE, then sold as IntelligentFiler, launched publicly in Stockholm on 28 September 2017, and the first customers came on board in 2018. In 2019 CIO named STORViX among its TOP 10 storage solution providers, and the company was accepted into the Sony Startup Acceleration Program.

The years since have been about depth rather than breadth. A partnership with Yubico brought two-factor authentication to administrative access in 2020. Venture and strategic investment followed in 2021, along with a place in Oracle for Startups. NVIDIA Inception followed in 2022, alongside distribution agreements with EMT Distribution across the Middle East and Africa and Maxcom in Benelux. Partnerships with AWS and Oracle were established in 2023.

Today a multinational team operates from Lund and serves customers across EMEA, working with global service providers, systems integrators and data centres to deliver on the ground.

What we hold to

Four commitments that shape the product.

Engineered to last a decade

A seven-to-ten-year hardware lifecycle is a design commitment with consequences: modular disk packs, non-disruptive expansion, and a refusal to build in obsolescence. It is also the single largest lever on both total cost and embodied carbon.

Sovereignty as an engineering property

Data residency is not a policy statement. Vault replicas sit in STORViX-operated facilities in Sweden, Italy and other EU countries, encrypted at rest, under a zero-knowledge privacy policy and a data processing agreement that goes beyond the statutory minimum.

Integrity before performance

Every block is checksummed to the root node and repaired on mismatch. A system that returns fast answers which are quietly wrong is worse than one that is merely slow.

Sustainability that is measurable

Up to 20 PiB in a single cabinet, in-line deduplication and compression, and hardware that stays in service — the environmental argument and the cost argument are the same argument.

European presence

Registered in Sweden. Operating across EMEA.

STORViX AB is registered in Sweden under number 559074-0865 and headquartered at Ideon Science Park in Lund — the research park where Sweden's technology sector has incubated companies since 1983.

Vault replicas are held in STORViX-operated data centres in Sweden, Italy and other EU countries. For organisations weighing jurisdictional exposure alongside technical requirements, where a company is incorporated and where its infrastructure physically sits are both part of the assessment.
