STORViX was founded in August 2016 out of a conviction that enterprise storage had stopped serving the organisations buying it. Systems were configured once and could not adapt; capacity arrived in forklift upgrades; and a three-year refresh cycle had quietly become an assumption rather than a requirement.
AiRE, then sold as IntelligentFiler, launched publicly in Stockholm on 28 September 2017, and the first customers came on board in 2018. In 2019 CIO named STORViX among its TOP 10 storage solution providers, and the company was accepted into the Sony Startup Acceleration Program.
The years since have been about depth rather than breadth. A partnership with Yubico brought two-factor authentication to administrative access in 2020. Venture and strategic investment followed in 2021, along with a place in Oracle for Startups. NVIDIA Inception followed in 2022, alongside distribution agreements with EMT Distribution across the Middle East and Africa and Maxcom in Benelux. Partnerships with AWS and Oracle were established in 2023.
Today a multinational team operates from Lund and serves customers across EMEA, working with global service providers, systems integrators and data centres to deliver on the ground.
